Do you have a spare room in your home?
If so, we are now recruiting foster carers to be part of a new and exciting national programme for children aged 7 - 11!
MTFC has been designed to support children who have significant difficulties in social and family relationships. We offer
short term placements that range from 9 - 12 months with a view to decreasing problem behaviours and increasing the
chance of successfully returning the child to a permanent family placement.
Could you be an MTFC carer?

We are looking for people with the following attributes:
Patience, resilience, commitment and a sense of humour
Enthusiasm for young people.
A willingness to be part of a professional team, taking detailed advice on
behaviour management and contributing to daily review and evaluation of the children's progress.
A desire to take on a new professional challenge.
A carer who doesn't have any other children in the 7- 11 age range.
A carer who lives in Hackney or a neighbouring borough.
A secure home (owned, rented) with a separate room for a foster child.
Experience with school aged children.

A detailed behavioural programme for the child which takes some of the stress associated with discipline off the foster parent.
Daily consultation with team members.
Weekly carer support meeting.
24/7 on call support from the child's team.
Respite care provided by other programme carers.
