Below we have listed the most common questions we get asked by people who are starting to consider adoption. Do I have to be married ?
No, certainly not.
Do I have to own my own home ?
No, certainly not.
Would a child have to sleep in a bedroom of their own ?
Whilst it would be best for a fostered child to have their own room, we realise that this is not practical for many families. The child will need space but can have this sharing with another child.
How long will the assessment take ?
From the time you register your interest in fostering you should expect it to take six months before your application can be presented to our panel for consideration.
